Horizon Air Miracle

I am just so full of gratitude right now, it is unreal! Scott got into the Horizon Air Pilot Developement Program! I cannot tell you how happy and relieved I am! I know this is a miracle from God and that He had a direct hand in this process. Back around the beginning of August we were planning out how we would pay for Scott's next semester of flight school, Fall 2022 semester. When we were looking at everything we could not find a way to pay for it. We looked into getting a private student loan but very quickly realized that we could not get one without a cosigner. The problem was no one could be our cosigner. I remember just sitting there wondering how are we going to move forward? I decided to take a break from worrying and read my scriptures. At the time I was studying miracles. As I started reading I was absorbed in my studies and prayed for a miracle for us to be able to pay for Scott's schooling. Well as I continued to study I kept having the thought to look at the Skywest Program Scott was signed up for. I finally cracked, put away my scriptures and started looking for information. When I was on UVU's website looking for information about Skywest, I saw information about a partnership with Horizon Air. I decided to click on it, knowing that Horizon works with Alaska Airlines, Scott's dream company to fly for. After reading the sight I knew this was the route we should take and an answer to my prayers. The Horizon Air Pilot Developement Program offers a $12,500 stipend. $5000 of the stipend offered after you receive your Instrument Rating and $7500 of it received after you obtain your Commercial License. That would cover the rest of our costs! It would also provide Scott a direct route to Alaska Airlines! So I told Scott he should apply for the program. He applied the end of August. Then a couple weeks later, in September, he found out that Horizon Air would be visiting UVU to do a presentation. After the presentation they would be doing a limited number of interviews to get into the program. Scott hurried and emailed them asking to know how to get an interview slot. Well, the day before the presentation at UVU, Horizon Air reached out to Scott saying he had one of four interview slots. It was a miracle! The morning of the interview Scott and I practiced interview questions, wrote down our own questions to ask them, and did a bunch of research into the company. We felt God's hand preparing us. In the interview he was asked questions we had already practiced. He walked out in complete peace. Well fast forward to this morning. I walked to the temple with the kids. While I was sitting on the bench I started praying that things with Horizon Air would work out. I had the most undeniable feeling that everything was going to work out. I felt clearly that God had it under control. I went home and told Scott about the feeling I had. Me telling Scott that feeling was a huge act of faith. Saying it outloud that God had it all under control confirmed it, it gave me confidence in the prompting. Well, a couple hours later Scott got the call from Horizon Air. We are so thankful! I know that God worked everything out! I know that God is leading our path and will help us with everything we set our minds to do. Just believe in Him, ask for miracles! They do come! I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father that knows and cares for my family.
